Outdoor footwear: 
Please ensure that your child has appropriate footwear for playing outdoors (soccer / tag).  We have had some serious injuries when students have fallen / tripped when wearing crocs / slippers in recent weeks.

Parking Lot / Playground safety:  
Please be sure when entering, driving on school grounds that you are driving slowly and using caution. Thanks for helping us keep our students and our staff safe.

Staffing for the 2024-25 school year starts now! 

• Are you moving? If you know you are moving out of our school area for the upcoming school year please email kwolfe@hrce.ca asap so that we can account for these moves in our system. 
• New Registrations? Do you know someone moving into our school area, or who has a student starting next year who has not registered yet?  Please ask them to register asap.

Class Placement requests for next year:  
Class configurations for next year will begin in May.  We do not take teacher requests,  however, if you have a concern / friendship issue that we need to know about when making lists please email kwolfe@hrce.ca before May 24th.

Student Success Survey for students in Grades 4 & 5:  
Students in Grades 4 & 5 will be participating in this survey with their classes this week.  Please reach out to kwolfe@hrce.ca if you have any questions.  

Literacy and Math in Grade 3 Provincial Assessments (LM3):

Provincial Assessments for our Grade 3 students will be taking place on May 14, 15, 16 and May 22, 23, and 24th. 

Excel Registration 2024-25:

Early registration for returning students is May 1st - 2nd

General registration for new students is May 15-16th.

May 9th - PTC and SAC meetings

May 14- 24th - LM3 for Grade 3 classes

May 20 - Victoria Day - No School

June 3 -   Grade 5 students visiting GPV for a tour (Permission slip to come home in late May)

 June 12 - HRA Strings performance for Grade 3 students 8-8:30am

                 Spring Fling 5:30-7:30pm

June 13- Rain Date for Spring Fling

June 18 - Field Day for PP-5 students

June 25 - Rain Date for Field Day

June 26 - 10 am - Domino Show - whole school

June 26 - Grade 5 Celebration / Ceremony (details to come home in early June)

June 27th - Assessment Day - No School for students

June 28th - Last Day of School for students (10am dismissal)
